Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to common questions
What is Kecak Dance and why is it unique?
Kecak is a traditional Bali dance that is unique because it does not use any musical instruments at all. 70+ male dancers sit in a circle and sing "cak-cak-cak" rhythmically while telling the story of the Ramayana. Performed at sunset with the backdrop of the Indian Ocean, it is very stunning!
Can I enter the temple?
The area inside the temple is only for Hindus to pray. However, you can explore the area outside the temple, walk on the cliffs, and enjoy the spectacular sea views. Make sure you wear modest clothing (shoulder & closed knees).
What if the weather is bad or rainy?
The Kecak show still takes place during light rain (open-air but semi-protected). The sunset may not be visible clearly when it's cloudy, but the show is still amazing. We recommend bringing an umbrella or raincoat if the weather is unpredictable.
Is dinner available in this package?
The standard package does not include dinner. However we can add a seafood dinner package at Jimbaran Beach after the show (additional cost). Contact us to upgrade your package with dinner.
